Will a 4G case fit the 5G version? And which cases fit the iPhone 16e and 17e?

Short answer: sometimes. Some phones come in a 4G and a 5G version that are the same shape, so one case fits both. Others look alike but differ in size or camera, and need different cases. Our phone list tells you which is which.

How to read our phone list

• Listed together means one case fits both. For example, “OPPO A5 4G/5G” is one listing: those cases fit both versions.
• Listed separately means they need different cases. For example, “Galaxy A06 4G” and “Galaxy A06 5G” are two listings, and so are “OPPO A58 4G” and “OPPO A58 5G / A78 5G”.

If you're not sure which version you have, check Settings → About phone. The model name usually says 4G or 5G. Our guide to finding your exact model shows you where.

iPhone 16e and 17e

The iPhone 16e and 17e share one listing in our shop, “iPhone 16e / 17e”, so those cases fit either phone.

The “e” matters, though. An iPhone 16e is not an iPhone 16: the body and camera are different. So an iPhone 16 case won't fit a 16e, and a 16e case won't fit a 16.

Why it matters

A case for the wrong version can look almost right, but the camera hole or buttons won't line up. We can't take returns for the wrong model, so a quick check before you order saves you buying twice.
